COLOMBIA PROGRESA CORPORATION is a non-profit organization, created in November 2002 by a group of Colombians living in the Washington DC area, in order to raise funds for educational institutions that benefit the most vulnerable population in need of education in Colombia. Thanks to the generosity of donations from families and companies in the United States, funds are raised to finance the education and nutrition programs supported by COLOMBIA PROGRESA.
OUR MISSION:
Is to raise funds to benefit education, nutrition, recreation, music, sports, leisure activities and infrastructure programs in Colombia through institutions carefully selected by the Board of Directors, with high social impact for communities most in need.
OUR VISION:
Is to contribute to the education and well-being of low-income children and youth in Colombia. COLOMBIA PROGRESA CORPORATION is financed through donations received from individuals, companies and those who want to actively contribute to the education and well-being of the most needy population.
REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE:
COLOMBIA PROGRESA CORPORATION obtained in July 2003 the exemption from federal taxes of the United States under the category of non-profit organization, section IRS 501 (c) (3). This status allows donations in money or in kind to be tax deductible in the United States with identification: Tax ID EIN 14 - 1860461.
COLOMBIA PROGRESA CORPORATION is registered in the State of Maryland as a non-profit organization, under number 18577. An annual income statement is filed with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the State of Maryland for review and approval.

RECOGNITION TO COLOMBIA PROGRESA
In 2019, the President of COLOMBIA PROGRESA CORPORATION, received from the Colombian Consulate in Washington, D.C. an special award to recognize her commitment and dedication to the education and nutrition of children and young adults throughout Colombia.
VOLUNTEERING:
The Board of Directors and volunteers in the United States and Colombia collaborate on the projects, contributing their time, knowledge and expertise. Thanks to their participation and enthusiasm, all funded projects have been successfully implemented.
